2023: Former Reps Member Speaks On How Igbos Can Get Presidency Ticket

A former member of the House of Representatives, Hon. Abdulmumin Jibrin has hinted at how Igbos can get and win the presidential ticket in the future.

Speaking during an interview with Arise News, Jibrin, a campaigner for Tinubu's presidential ambition said 2023 is an opportunity for southeasterners to build a new strategy and support Tinubu to win.

He further stated that if the southeast region can support former Lagos State governor, Tinubu, to win the 2023 presidential election, their future to get that same seat will be on track.

"2023 is the best opportunity they have in the future to have the presidency. He (Tinubu) is a man of his word.

"I call on the southeast to join the Bola Tinubu tsunami and it is your best chance to have the presidency in the future", he said.

The All Progressives Congress (APC) chieftain further noted that southeastern politicians must demonstrate that they are really interested in the presidency.

He said many of them have failed to push hard for the presidency even in the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) where they are more dominant.

Meanwhile, on Monday, January 10, 2022, Tinubu declared to President Buhari his intention to contest in the 2023 election, describing the presidency as his lifelong dream.
