    Former President Goodluck Jonathan has been cleared by a Federal High Court in Yenogoa to contest in the 2023 presidential election.

    The Presiding Judge, Justice Justice Isa Hamma Dashen, ruled on Friday that Jonathan is eligible to contest the election.

    Dashen also held that the former president's right to contest for the presidency again could not be stopped by any retroactive law.

    Jonathan is yet to issue an official statement as of the time of this writing but more information will be disseminated as they are released.
