2023: Gubana Receives Political Groups In Yobe

The Deputy Governor of Yobe State, Idi Barde Gubana, has received various political groups in support of the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential and gubernatorial candidates in Damaturu. 

The groups include the Face-to-Face Tinubu/Shettima, Buni/Gubana Mobilization Team 2023 and Progressive Elegant Women Worldwide.

Gubana while receiving the groups said the visit was a step forward for women in politics.

He further called for the sensitization of housewives to consider voting as their right and means of development. 

The deputy governor also expressed satisfaction with the blueprints of the groups in carrying women along to ensure the victory of the APC at all levels in the forthcoming 2023 election. 

Speaking earlier, the state coordinator of the Progressives Elegant Women Worldwide, Hajiya Kaltum Goni expressed delight over the deputy governor's reception.

Goni alongside Hon. Yajalo Badama representing the groups said the visit was to deliver an appointment letter to the deputy governor as their patron and seek his blessings for their success.

They informed Gubana that the objectives of the groups were to bring women from the grassroots closer and to create awareness of the forthcoming general elections.

According to Goni, women would embark on house-to-house sensitization as the INEC has introduced a new voting process which is very difficult for housewives to understand on election day.

The deputy governor accepted the letter while appreciating them for their continuous support.
