The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Katsina has replaced the running mate of its 2023 gubernatorial candidate, Dr Dikko Umar Radda.
Alhaji Yusuf Aliyu Musawa had been nominated by Radda to serve as his running mate.
However, following the withdrawal of interest by Musawa, Radda has nominated Hon. Faruk Lawal Jobe to replace to replace him.
This was contained in a statement by the Chairman Gwagware Media Media Organization, Abdulkadir Ahmed.
According to the statement, “Alhaji Yusuf Aliyu Musawa withdrew from the race voluntarily after wide consultations with relevant stakeholders."
Hon. Jobe had contested in the APC primary election alongside Radda but lost.
He is currently the Katsina state Commissioner for Budget and Economic Planning.
He was re-appointed by the governor of Katsina State, Aminu Bello Masari after he lost at the primary election.
