2023 Guber: INEC Results Do Not Represent Lagosians' Wishes — Rhodes-Vivour

2023 Guber: INEC Results Do Not Represent Lagosians' Wishes

The Labour Party governorship candidate in Lagos State, Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour, has expressed dissatisfaction with the results being announced by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).

GRV (as he is also called) took to his Twitter page on Sunday to lament reports of violence in different parts of the state during the just concluded poll.

While alleging that there was collusion between the ruling party and electoral officials, he rejected the results announced so far, saying it is not a representation of Lagos residents.

Rhodes-Vivour stated that results from LP's field agents and their situation room indicate that the party won the election.

Calling himself the champion of the people, he said that the party is far from done and added that the fight for freedom is never won easily.

"I am convinced beyond any doubt that the results being released by INEC do not represent the wishes of majority of peaceful Lagosians.

"More so the results from our field agents and situation room indicated that we won this election.

"I am a champion of the people, we are far from done.

"Do not lose hope, do not waver. This is not over, we have not come this far to accept outright lies, criminality & falsehoods.

"A fight for FREEDOM is never easily won", part of the Twitter thread reads.
