Ahead of the Saturday gubernatorial and state assembly elections, ten governorship candidates have endorsed the Jigawa State All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate, Umar Namadi.
The endorsement was a show of solidarity by the candidates to deliver victory for the APC candidate in the forthcoming Saturday election.
The candidates that expressed their endorsement include, Dr Sani Gumel of the African Democratic Party (ADC), Ismail Usman of the Accord Party (AP), and Suleiman Abdullah Birnin-Kudu of the Youth Progressives Party (YPP).
Others are Isa Ringim of APM, NRM's Murtala Musa, Alh-Kabion M/Madon of APP, Nura Safiyan of AAC, and Sule Adamy Burtulan of BP.
This was disclosed on Thursday in a statement by the State's Commissioner for Special Duties, Auwal D. Sankara.
According to Sankara, the candidates expressed their confidence in Namadi's ability to lead the state.
They highlighted his experience, leadership qualities and commitment to the development of Jigawa State as reasons for their endorsement.
In his response, Namadi expressed his gratitude for the support, stating that it is a clear indication of the unity of purpose and the collective desire to move the state forward.
He promised to work tirelessly towards achieving the vision and aspirations of the people of Jigawa State.
