2023 Hajj: Oyo Government Commences Airlifts Of Pilgrims To

Intending pilgrims to the 2023 Hajj in Mecca from Oyo State have started to be airlifted by the Oyo State Government.

The State Pilgrim Welfare Board (Muslim Wing) is in charge of the exercise, and the first batch of pilgrims has already been airlifted.

On Thursday, Aero Contractor Airline transported the first batch of pilgrims from Muritala Muhammed International Airport, Lagos State to Medina, Saudi Arabia.

The group consisted of 475 pilgrims, comprising 236 males and 239 females.

The second batch of intending pilgrims is expected to be airlifted on Friday, followed by the third and fourth batches.

The Oyo State Government has maintained that it is committed to ensuring a smooth and seamless Hajj exercise for all intending pilgrims.
