Ebonyi State Governor Dave Umahi has stated that Igbos in the country will be taken care of by the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Bola Tinubu if he is elected in 2023.
Umahi gave the assurance during the inauguration of the Ebonyi Governor’s Lodge on Wednesday in Abuja.
The governor told the former Lagos governor that the southeast would vote for the APC in the 2023 presidential election.
Governor Umahi also promised that there would be a massive presidential rally in Ebonyi State.
“So, we welcome Asiwaju and the governors to Ebonyi State for the mother of all rallies. Your Excellency, you will see what an engineer can do when you come.
“We are not hiding to say that you are our candidate, and you will take care of South-East people, and all our votes will go to APC. There is no mistake about that.
“So, the people of the Southeast, we have spoken. I am the Chairman of the South-East Governors’ Forum, so I speak on their behalf,” he said.
Umahi added that the southeast would stay with APC in 2023 because it would be better for them.
