2023: Kola Abiola Charges Tinubu, Atiku To Leave Political Scene

2023: Kola Abiola Charges Tinubu, Atiku To Leave Political S

Moshood Kashimawo Olawale Abiola is a household name in Nigeria’s democracy. Thirty years after his mandate was “robbed”, his son, Kola Abiola and his party, Peoples Redemption Party, have urged Bola Tinubu and Atiku Abubakar to vacate the political space for fresh blood.

They made the call while addressing hundreds of supporters of the party from the six states of the Southwest at the party's presidential rally held in Ibadan, the Oyo State capital on Thursday.

Kola Abiola, the party’s presidential candidate, enjoined Nigerians to reject the presidential candidates of both the ruling APC and the PDP, Tinubu and Atiku, without looking back.

“They have been around the country's political space for too long.

"They were with my father in 1993 during the 1993 presidential push”, he recounted.

“While with my father, the Bashorun of Ibadan, in 1993, the presidential candidates of the APC, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu and that of the PDP, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, were also there, but regrettably, they are still around 30 years after”, he stated, insinuating that it is unhealthy for the country’s democracy.

Similarly, the National Chairman of the Peoples Redemption Party (PRP), Mallam Falalu Bello, revealed that there is no difference between the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) and the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

“There is no difference between the two political parties, APC and PDP.

"They are birds of a feather who brought us to where we are today.

"As Nigerians, we must move away from the locust years and vote for the PRP to redeem the country as the suffering of the people is becoming too much”, he added.

The party chairman explained that the PRP is the oldest party in the country and can give Nigerians what they want, a democratic governance filled with dividends and prosperity.

“Please do not vote for them (Tinubu and Atiku), but let us work together to repeat the victory of 1993 by voting massively for the PRP,” the party chairman appealed.
