2023: Lalong Calls For Support For APC Candidates

Plateau State Governor and Director General of the APC Presidential Campaign Council Simon Lalong has appealed to his kinsmen to vote for candidates of the APC who are known for record of service and concrete plans to address the nation's challenges.

The Governor made the appeal at the annual cultural festival of the Gamai people of Plateau State tagged "Bit Gamai 2022" held in Shendam on Saturday.

While thanking the Gamai people for standing by him and other sons and daughters of the Chiefdom, Lalong said without their support, he would not have been recognised and given responsibilities such as the Governor of Plateau State, Chairman Northern Governors Forum, DG Tinubu/Shettima Campaign Council among others.

"While I also appeal to all Gamai sons and daughters to support their own who are vying for various offices in the State and Federal elections, I wish to advise that we reflect deeply on the general interests of the Gamai nation as we go into the polls.

"At the end of the day, we should be seen to be more strategic than emotional in making our choices and networking with those who will bring progress and development to Gamai Land.

"Already, I have started talking to my principal,  Bola Tinubu and his running mate Senator Kashim Shettima for Federal Interventions to our land if God gives them power.

"Here in Plateau, Dr Nentawe will do a good job and continuing with our legacies.

"This year’s Bit Gamai celebration again reminds us of the great values of the Gamai people that have been passed on from generation to generation.

"Despite the rapidly changing world, we still hold dearly the attributes of hardwork, diligence, honesty, confidence and above all love that the Gamai people are known for.

"These are things we should always emphasise whenever we come together."
