2023: Mr Macaroni Tackles Politicians Over Reports Of Intimidation

Nigerians have turned out en masse to cast their votes in the ongoing general elections despite reports of ballot snatching and violence in some parts of the country.

Mr Macaroni, a popular comedian and social media personality, has accused some politicians of trying to intimidate voters and rig the elections.

Via his Twitter account, Mr Macaroni said; “Structure of violence. There were lots of ballot snatching nationwide.

"If you are so sure of victory, why are you intimidating voters?

“If it is certain that you will win, then let people vote in peace!!!

"Me, I just voted Peter Obi sha and my polling unit has been peaceful so far!!

“And we no dey go anywhere till they count the votes!!!"

The comedian further criticized those who had underestimated the power of Nigerian youths, saying, “You people said Nigerian youths only make noise online. You said we won't come out to vote.

“We took you by surprise and are out in massive numbers.

"Now you want to use violence to win elections. Let the people vote free and fair.

“Then you will know the people's choice!!!”

Despite the call for peace, there have been reports of violence in some parts of the country, with some polling units being disrupted by thugs and ballot snatchers.
