A new date for the screening of presidential candidates has been revealed by the All Progressives Congress (APC) ahead of the 2023 election.
The announcement was made on Monday by the National Organising Secretary of the party, Suleiman Argungu, and the date for the screening exercise is May 24, 2022.
According to Argungu, the party will screen its 28 presidential aspirants who purchased forms on Tuesday, May 24, and Wednesday, May 25 at the Transcorp Hilton Hotel, Abuja.
The development comes after it was reported that the party postponed the screening indefinitely.
"The Screening Exercise for Presidential Aspirants of the All Progressives Congress (APC) earlier scheduled to be held on Monday, May 23rd, 2022 is hereby postponed. A new date for the exercise will be announced shortly.
"Any inconvenience caused is deeply regretted", the party had said in a statement.
