Reno Omokri, a Nigerian activist has warned Nigerian students against voting for the Presidential candidate of the Labour Party, Peter Obi in the forthcoming presidential election.
Omokri in a tweet on Monday described Obi as a "stingy man" who would not pay members of the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) if elected as president.
He added that Nigerian students would go on strikes multiple times if the Labour Party candidate assumed the presidential office.
The Special Assistant to former president Goodluck Jonathan however maintained that the students need Atiku Abubakar, the presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
According to him, Atiku has promised to pay workers a living wage if elected as president in the forthcoming elections.
"Nigeria’s 26 million registered student voters should note that a stingy man, like Peter Obi, will not pay ASUU well.
"If he is elected, expect strikes that will frustrate you.
"You need a man, like Waziri Atiku Abubakar, who has promised to pay workers a living wage," Omokri tweeted.
