2023 Oscars: Twitter Users React As Tems’ Enormous Headpiece Steals The Show

At the 2023 Oscars ceremony, Nigerian singer and Academy Award-nominee Tems made quite an impression with her fashion choices.

The 27-year-old artiste arrived at the event wearing a lush white gown from Lever Couture, which was accentuated by an enormous headpiece that wrapped around her head and extended outwards.

While her outfit was certainly eye-catching, it, unfortunately, caused some issues for audience members seated behind her.

Many were left frustrated and unable to see the stage due to the obstructive nature of her headpiece.

However, despite the controversy, Tems remained poised and confident throughout the event.

In addition to her unique fashion statement, Tems was also nominated for Best Original Song for her work on ‘Lift Me Up’, a track she co-wrote for Rihanna’s performance in Black Panther: Wakanda Forever.

Unfortunately, the coveted award went to ‘Naatu Naatu’ from the film ‘RRR’, composed by MM Keeravani.

While Tems may not have taken home the award she was hoping for, she certainly made an impact with her daring fashion sense and undeniable talent.
