2023: Peter Obi Is A Movement To Beat — Bashir Ahmad

Former aide to President Muhammadu Buhari Bashir Ahmad says Peter Obi (Peter Obi) of Labour Party is a movement to beat in the forthcoming 2023 presidential election.

AllNews Nigeria reports that Bashir Ahmad stated this in a series of tweets via his official Twitter handle on Thursday June 30, 2022.

"Let me confess, the name Peter Obi alone is a movement to beat.

"I was in Kano over the weekend and to my surprise everywhere is PO, nobody is talking about other candidates anymore and a friend told me that it’s a similar story in Katsina. LP is getting 75% - 80% in those states.

“A friend also just DMed me that PO is getting not less than 85% in Kaduna.

"Like I said he is everywhere in Kano and Katsina, so he doesn’t even have to waste his time to go to north west for campaign, his soldiers take over the region. An 80% victory is assured! ✌?”

Ahmad previously resigned as Personal Assistant to President Muhammadu Buhari to represent a Federal constituency in Kano.

Unfortunately, Bashir Ahmad lost to Abdullahi Mahmood Gaya, who represents Gaya, Ajingi, Albasu Federal Constituency.

While Gaya scored 109 votes in the poll, Ahmad got a paltry 16 votes.

He later claimed that thugs were used to deny him victory.

“As an aspirant, I left the venue of primary election for Gaya, Ajingi and Albasu Federal Constituency, because of the security of our majority delegates.

“If I want to compete with the best, thugs shouldn’t be part of any election. A dakace mu!”, he said.
