Peter Obi's supporters defied police orders as they rallied en masse to the Lekki Toll Gate on Saturday.
Despite heavy police presence, 'Obidients' reportedly caused traffic gridlock in the morning as private vehicles and commercial bus drivers had to find alternative routes to their destinations.
A driver who spoke with Punch had to opt for his passengers to get another bus, disclosing that he had been in the traffic for a while.
“Obidient people are campaigning at the toll gate, I have been in this traffic for too long, I’m going to turn back at Jakande roundabout.
"I wouldn’t be heading to Lekki Phase 1 again”, he stated.
Following the recent court order, security operatives were dispatched to Lekki Toll Gate on Friday to ensure compliance with the directive that Labour Party supporters not converge in the area.
Police Spokesman Benjamin Hundeyin had said that law-abiding citizens could go about their normal daily activities.
