Supporters of the presidential flag bearer of the Labour Party, Peter Obi, are staging a rally in the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja.
Per online reports, the rally started from the Unity Fountain to the Moshood Abiola National Stadium amid security presence.
'Obidents' had staged a similar rally on Ebonyi State and it had been marred by policemen who momentarily halted the procession with the use of tear gas.
The former Anambra State Governor and his counterparts from other political parties are to sign a peace pact ahead of the 2023 presidential elections.
The above was disclosed by former head of state Abdulsalami Abubakar after meeting with committee members on Thursday.
Obi's recent interview with CNN earned him criticism from the Buhari Media Organisation (BMO), with its Chairman Niyi Akinsiju saying that it seemed as if he was reading from President Muhammadu Buhari's handbook.
The group further said that it shows that Obi is unprepared to lead the nation.
