2023 Presidency: Tinubu Won The Election, Isn't Responsible For Lives Lost — Fayose

2023 Presidency: Tinubu Won The Election, Isn't Responsible

Amid the controversies trailing the 2023 presidential election, the former governor of Ekiti State, Ayodele Fayose has insisted that the President-elect, Bola Tinubu won the poll.

While making an appearance on Arise TV's Morning Show, Fayose stated that while the election was flawed, it was also credible.

According to him, neither Tinubu nor Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu of Lagos State is to blame for the lives lost during the election.

Fayose, who is a member of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), further pointed out that the victory of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ekiti State shows that the people of the region chose him.

“Tinubu won the election fair and square. Is it possible that PDP might win the election? Yes.

“But if it’s me, I will get lawyers and ensure that what God gave me, nobody takes it away.

“I was never secretly recorded and asked anybody to rig the election.

“Atiku has always gone to court since I knew him, the election that brought Tinubu is credible but might not be the best.

“You can’t say it was Tinubu and Sanwo-Olu that killed the people that died during the election.

“The vote that made Tinubu win in Ekiti we brought it”, he said.
