The Nigeria Union of Teachers (NUT), has called on Governor Dapo Abiodun not to go back on promises made to the people of the state.
This comes after Governor Abiodun's reelection as the governor of the state.
The union which describe the Governor's success as a "divine arrangement" urged him to see the opportunity to lead the state again as a call to serve the people diligently.
NUT made the call in a congratulatory letter signed by the State Chairman Abiodun Akinola and the Secretary, Samson Oyelere, and made available to newsmen in Abeokuta on Thursday.
The chapter guaranteed to support the administration in recording more achievements that would further imprint its esteemed ideas in the hearts of the residents
The letter partly reads: “Your impacts and efforts to satisfy the insatiable that could not see beyond personal gains had been rewarded by God Almighty.
“The union urges you to see this victory as a call to do more and serve the people diligently."
