2023: Sokoto APC Women Continue Door-To-Door Campaign

The women wing of the All Progressive Congress (APC) in Sokoto State on Saturday commenced door-to-door campaign to mobilise support for the party’s candidates ahead of the 2023 general polls.

The group, under the auspices of ‘SAAR-MATA Foundation had earlier unveiled some campaign materials for the exercise that include textiles, branded T-shirts and veils, among others.

Speaking, the convener of the group, Sa’adatu Muhammad, said: “We are all out to inspire women’s participation in politics not only in Sokoto State, but the country in general.

“Our target is to ensure the best future for women and the younger generation.

"Therefore, we will continue to mobilise our women to make the right choice for the best for Nigeria,“ she said.

Muhammad further said that the foundation had set up the required mechanism toward making APC more stronger and acceptable in the State ahead and beyond the 2023 elections.

In her remarks, wife of Sokoto APC governorship candidate, Fatima Aliyu appreciated the women group for the initiative.

Aliyu stressed the need for women traders to actively participate by emulating those who had excelled in various positions of authorities.

“This is the right time we appreciate ourselves and ensure a greener future for our children.

”As such, we should vote for APC candidates at all levels in order to enable the realisation of our desires,“ she urged.
