2023: Stop Flouting Traffic Rules — FRSC To Politicians

2023: Stop Flouting Traffic Rules — FRSC To Politicians

Politicians in Ogun State have been warned by the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) to desist from flouting traffic rules and regulations as the campaigns for the 2023 elections kick off.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the appeal was made by the FRSC Ogun Sector Commander, Ahmed Umar, in an interview with the outlet on Friday in Ota, Ogun.

Umar harped on the need for politicians to abide by traffic rules while transporting themselves from place to place.

According to him, the appeal is necessary as road crashes are not a respecter of personalities.

"The FRSC urges politicians not to endanger their own lives and those of their followers as we do not want to record casualties or unnecessary deaths during the campaign period", he stated.

Umar added that anyone who ran foul of traffic rules was susceptible to being involved in a road crash.

He further urged politicians to be law-abiding, disclosing that FRSC and Police personnel would be out to enforce traffic rules.
