2023: Thousands Of PDP Members Decamp To APC In Jigawa

Thousands of members of the People's Democratic Party (PDP) have dumped the party for the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Jigawa State.

The decampees included ward executive party members in Kazaure and social media team in the state capital.

They were received on Saturday by the APC House of Representative Candidate in Kazaure, Roni, Gwiwa, and Yankwashi federal constituency, Arc Muhammed Muktar.

Some of the notable PDP members that were received in Kazaure LGA included the chairman of the party in Dabaza ward, the Party PRO in the LGA, Mustapha Lawal, Social Welfare PDP Dabaza Ward, Abdullahi Abdu Yandutse and Usman Umar Kachika, PRO PDP Dabaza Ward.

Others include, Salisu Ibrahim Yadiya Ex-officio PDP Dabaza Ward, Aminu Mohammed Kurfi, Legal Adviser PDP Dabaza Ward, Salisu Abubakar Member, Sule Amiru Delegate, Yahaya Alto Vice Chairman Arewa War and many others. 

Similarly, the Jigawa state Deputy Governor and the APC Governorship Candidate, Arc Muhammed Muktar has received hundreds of PDP supporters in his office in Dutse the state capital.

Comrade Aminu Umar Malu who spoke on behalf of the members of the party that decamped said they left the PDP because it has turned into a party of inheritance, describing the party as a group of unjust political actors seeking relevance.
