The presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu has expressed optimism ending banditry in the country if elected as president.
The presidential hopeful made this known while reacting to the recent band attack on vigilante members in Katsina State.
The attack left over forty vigilantes killed in Bakori Local Government Area of the state.
While addressing supporters in the APC presidential campaign rally turned prayer, Tinubu commended those that summoned courage to attend despite the mournful period.
He expressed his condolences to the government and people of the state over the unfortunate incidence.
While assuring the people, he said: "We will definitely deal with them.
"They will not go scot-free.
"Whether they derive some moment of joy or satisfaction, we are saying we are courageous, we are strong, we believe in Allah and we will defeat them.
"They are evil. We will eliminate them."
The presidential hopeful further commended security agencies for their efforts in the fight against banditry, adding that their sacrifices would not go unnoticed.
He described the opposition People's Democratic Party (PDP) as "Poverty Development Party" while calling on people not to give them another chance to return to power in the forthcoming general elections.
