2023: Why I Am More Qualified Than Tinubu, Atiku, Others — Amaechi

2023: Why I Am More Qualified Than Tinubu, Atiku, Others —

The Minister of Transportation Rotimi Amaechi has stated that he is more qualified to become the next president of Nigeria ahead of the 2023 elections.

Those in the presidential race under the aegis of the All Progressives Congress (APC) include Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, Bola Tinubu, Governor Dave Umahi of Ebonyi State, Rochas Okorocha, and others.

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has candidates like Atiku Abubakar, Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers State, Bukuola Saraki, Peter Obi, Anyim Pius Anyim, among others.

Amaechi who is contending under the umbrella of the APC says that he is better qualified to lead the country than others, baring his thoughts at the Palace of the Ooni of Ife on Monday.

During the consultation visit, Amaechi stated that his performance, physical and mental fitness give him an edge in the race for Nigeria's number one citizen.

"If you look at my history, among all of us in APC, including PDP, with all due respect to them, I happen to be one with more precedence.

"Eight years as Speaker, eight years as Governor, seven years as Minister, the first Director-General of a campaign to lead a fight of the removal of a government in power.

"With that experience comes the fact that the greatest and the most difficult thing for anybody in government is to lead among equals. If you don’t lead properly, they’ll remove you.

"I’ve led my equals twice, as Chairman of the Conference of Speakers and as Chairman of Governors’ Forum, which was very turbulent when there was a sharp disagreement between the governors and the then President.

"So, I’m experienced enough to manage the country at this difficult time", he said.
