2024 Hajj: NAHCON applauds Gombe pilgrims, board for success

The National Hajj Commission, NAHCON has applauded the Gombe State Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board and the state pilgrims for a successful 2024 Hajj exercise in Saudi Arabia.

The Chairman of NAHCON, Alhaji Jalal Ahmed Arabi gave the commendation on Wednesday when he visited the state pilgrims at the Mina Hajj Camp in Mecca.

Arabi further commended the Executive Secretary of the state pilgrims board, Alhaji Sa'adu Hassan and his team for "their dedication, hard work, and the application of their knowledge, skills, and experience during the Hajj exercise."

The NAHCON boss equally acknowledged the commitment of the pilgrims throughout the Hajj exercise, highlighting their obedience, patience, and perseverance.

He further revealed that the purpose of his visit was to assess the improvements made, interact with the pilgrims to hear their feedback, and collectively identify any challenges encountered during the exercise. 

Ismail Uba Misilli, the spokesperson to Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya of the State disclosed this in a statement on Wednesday.

According to Misilli, Arabi also discussed ways to enhance the overall Hajj experience and strengthen collaboration and coordination between NAHCON and the State Pilgrims Board to address concerns related to the welfare of the pilgrims.

On his part, Executive Secretary of State Pilgrims Board, Alhaji Sa'adu Hassan appreciated Governor Yahaya for "his support, exemplary leadership, and the laudable achievements recorded during this year's Hajj operation."

He equally reaffirmed the Board's commitment to effective service delivery and urged the pilgrims to avoid anything that could detract them from their spiritual exercise and wished them a hitch-free Hajj.
