23-year-old Anthony Kehinde was arraigned by the Police on Wednesday, before an Ado-Ekiti Magistrate's Court for stealing a Red Bajaj Boxer motorcycle valued at N250,000.
The News Agency of Nigeria, NAN reports that the Prosecutor, Sergeant Sodiq Adeniyi, told the court that the defendant and one other person committed the crime on December 18, around Shasha Area, Ikere-Ekiti Road, Ado-Ekiti.
The prosecutor asked the court for an adjournment to enable him to study the case file and assemble his witnesses.
The defendant pleaded not guilty to the charge. His counsel, Emmanuel Folayan prayed the court to grant his client bail.
The Magistrate, Mojisola Salau, granted the defendant a bail for Fifty thousand naira, with one surety in like sum.
The matter was adjourned until January 26, 2022.
