27 Year-Old-Man Arrested For Killing Wife In Jigawa

27 year-old Yusuf Zubairu has been arrested by the Jigawa State Police for allegedly killing his wife, a 23-year-old Fatima Hardo.

The incident happened on Wednesday, at Baldi village, in Sule-Tankarkar Local Government Area. The man was alleged to have murdered his wife during a fight between the two.

According to Daily Post, the husband was reported to have used a stick to hit his wife on the head which eventually led to her death. Also, a woman who came to separate the fight was also seriously injured.

This was disclosed by Lawan Adam, the state police spokesperson.

Lawan Adams said in a statement that; “In the process of the fight, Yusuf Zubairu used a stick to hit Fatima Hardo to stupor, on her head.”

“When one Rabi Lawan, of the same address, came to separated them, Yusuf Zubairu, also inflicted serious injury on her.”

He further stated that the victims were rushed to the Gumel General Hospital where the wife of the suspect was reported dead by the doctors.
