28 Student Nurses Get NSCDC Training On Accident, Emergency

28 Post-Basic Student Nurses of University Teaching Hospital, Ilorin have been trained by the Kwara Command of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) on accident and emergency management.

The training was conducted on Thursday by the Disaster Management Unit, under the Crisis Management Department of NSCDC, Kwara command in Ilorin. 

Acting Commandant Jonah Gabriel noted that crisis and disaster management was one of the statutory duties of NSCDC.

Gabriel, represented by the Head of Department, Crisis Management, DCC Esther Odeniran, revealed that the corps hopes to boost their relationship with schools and join hands with them on capacity building.

She listed training, intelligence sharing to enhance emergency response and better service delivery to Nigerians as the importance of capacity building.

Gabriel added that the training was organised mainly to educate and prepare the participants with the needed skills in accidents and emergencies.

Oyeleye Deborah, the team leader appreciated the corps for their willingness to ensure the students acquire the needed knowledge, seeking their continuous support.
