'37 Years On Set And I've Never Kissed Sola Sobowale' — Richard Mofe-Damijo [Video]

Nollywood veteran actor, Richard Mofe-Damijo, has revealed that he has never kissed 'King Of Boys' lead actor, Sola Sobowale, despite the fact that they've known and worked together for 37 years.

In an interview with Netflix to promote the movie - King of Boys: The Return of the King', the two veteran actors sat to discuss.

RMD revealed that they met in 1984 at Surulere during the set of Tade Ogidan's movie.

"We have played husband and wife and it hit me the other day that I've never kissed you in a movie. In KOB 3 we'll get to kiss as Reverend Ifeanyi and the king. I want to be able to kiss the king."

Speaking on how she felt when she first saw the script for 'The Return of the King, Sola Sobowale disclosed that she was speechless.

"When I saw the script, I went like... God. First of all, to do the Return of the King, I said to myself I thought we've touched every corner. There's nothing else to be written again. I now said to myself, what did she write in this that is even bigger than the bible.

"After reading the script I went like 'ah' I was speechless. But then, I summoned courage and I called her 'Kemi, who are you, where are you operating from. Definitely not from this zone of ours. You are operating from another frequency."

At the end of the interview, RMD said that he hopes to still be in the movie industry in the next ten years and by that time, he ought to have kissed Sobowale on a movie set.

"In 10 years, I will be 70 and my prayers will be that we will still be doing this. There will still be some springs in our steps and I will finally get to kiss you," RMD said.
