52 programmes have received National Board for Technical Education (NBTE) in Kwara State Polytechnic, Ilorin, Kwara State.
This announcement of the accreditation was made known in a statement signed by Abdulkadir Yunus, the Public Relations Officer of the Polytechnic.
According to the statement, the Director of Polytechnic programmes of the NBTE, Ngbede Ogoh, expressed contentment with the preparation by the polytechnic while speaking at the exit briefing of the accreditation exercise.
He added that Kwara State Polytechnic was known for producing advantageous graduates across the world.
“We will only advise you not to relent on the standard known with the Kwara State Polytechnic, Ilorin, and also make sure you rectify all the grey areas observed by the resource persons,” Yunus said.
Speaking at the event earlier, the Director of the North Central Zone of the NBTE, Dr Hatim Koko, encouraged the institution not to relent but to introduce more programmes so as to reduce the number of unadmitted students on the streets.
Reacting, Dr Jimoh Abdul, the Rector of the polytechnic lauded the NBTE for sustaining standards in the polytechnic sector, pledging that Kwara Poly would perform its duties as a technology-oriented institution.
