No fewer than 7, 241 teaching and non-teaching staff of the Oyo State Teaching Service Commission (TESCOM) are sitting for the 2022 promotion examination in the state.

The Chairman, TESCOM, Pastor Akinade Alamu who made this disclosureon Wednesday, noted that Governor Seyi Makinde has approved the conduct of promotion examinations for all categories of teaching and non-teaching staff for year 2022.

Allnews.ng gathers that the promotion interview is for eligible staff across the ten zones of the commission in the state.

The conduct which is in progress commenced on Wednesday at Kisi, Ogbomosho, Oyo, Eruwa, Iseyin, Saki TESCOM zones.

Alamu, while monitoring the exercise commended the governor for his commitment to workers’ welfare in the state, especially his investment in the education sector.

He enjoined TESCOM staff to reciprocate the gesture by being more committed to their duties and joining hands with the administration to make its education policies a success.

He further advised the promotion panels to be fair to the staff and not deny anyone promotion without a just course.
