Amid the fight against the coronavirus pandemic, no less than 788 almajiris have been sent back to their home states from Nasarawa State.
This was disclosed by the Governor of Nasarawa, Andullahi Sule, while speaking to the first set of almajiris from the southern part of the state.
The governor said that the reeason for the repatriation of the students was so their parents could care for them, this he said while saying goodbye to the almajiri present in the Government Science Schools in the state capital, Lafia.

“The plan to repatriate the almajiris is of good intention and not in bad motive," he said.
Andullahi also said that the decision to send them back home followed an agreement reached by the governor of nothern states in Abuja, stating that “COVID-19 is fast-tracking the movement”.
