The Ghanaian Minister of Education, Matthew Prempeh, revealed that over 90 percent of the staff at the ministry had the coronavirus.

The minister said that there was a mass testing at the ministry that showed that among the 90 percent of the work force at the ministry that tested positive, he was also included, as reported by Ghana Web.

Prempeh said that the need to test everyone at the ministry was prompted by his second result that "came out as positive," and that for every "50 persons" that were tested at the ministry, "45 had contracted the virus."

He was quoted as saying, “After my second result came out as positive, testing was conducted on all staff at the ministry and the results showed that out of every 50 persons, about 45 had contracted the virus.

“Most of them are asymptomatic so they are isolating at home.”

“For all the 52 years of my life, I’ve never been admitted to the hospital before and it was not a pleasant experience. The disease is very real and I don’t wish it on even my foe.”
