9mobile Offers Counselling In Bichi Emirate Colleges

Telecom service provider, 9mobile has organised a career counselling session for junior secondary students (JSS 3) at the public secondary school in Bichi Emirate, Kano State.

The career counselling session was created to serve as a springboard, putting students on the appropriate road to pursue excellence in any career of their choosing.

This was revealed in a statement issued at the 9mobile Head Office on Wednesday in Lagos by His Highness, Nasiru Ado Bayero, Chairman of the Board of Directors of EMTS (9mobile) and the Emir of Bichi.

According to Ado Bayero, the Career Counseling project was in keeping with a crucial element of the education-related pillar of 9mobile's corporate social responsibility.

He continued by saying that 9mobile was always looking for ways to support sustainability in Nigeria's educational system.

“At 9mobile, we understand the importance of education and the countless opportunities therein.

“That is why we are consciously investing our time, energy, and resources to ensure that students at this level are equipped with the requisite knowledge to make the right career choice.

“The career counselling session holds great potential for the students who, before now, may not have had the guidance to determine their future careers.

“With what has been shared, I am certain their future is brighter and filled with better prospects for the students,” he said.

Babangida Mukaddas, Head of Regional Sales North at 9mobile, also spoke and emphasised the importance of adequate mentoring and advice for kids to succeed in life.

He claimed that choosing the appropriate mix of studies in high school would always help students decide which university degree to enrol in.

This would pave the path for a successful career.

“For students who may desire to pursue a career in Engineering, you must take your Mathematics, English, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, and Technical drawings seriously,” he said.

Kannywood actor Adam Zango urged the youngsters to look into other professions in order to build a better future for themselves.

The institutions are located in Bichi Emirate Council, Kano State, and comprise the Government Girls Secondary School and Bichi Education Foundation Community Secondary School.
