A Federal High Court in Abuja is poised to deliver its judgment in the suit filed by the federal government to extradite the suspended Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP), Abba Kyari to the US.
The suit was filed by the Attorney General of the Federation (AGF) on behalf of the federal government for Kyari's extradition to the foreign country to stand trial over fraud allegations.
According to reports, Justice Inyang Ekwo will deliver the verdict to determine the fate of the suspended police boss.
Furthermore, the notice of judgment in the suit indicating that the judgment will be delivered on Monday was sighted by the aforementioned news outlet.
Kyari was implicated by suspected internet fraudster Abass Ramon, aka Hushpuppi, in a $1.1 million wire fraud, leading to the US government requesting the former's extradition to share his side of the story.
The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) also apprehended the suspended DCP on February 12 for investigation over allegations bordering on hard drug trafficking.
