The Inspector-General of Police (IGP) Usman Baba has appointed DCP Tunji Disu as the new Head of the Police Intelligence Response Team (IRT).
DCP Tunji Disu is replacing DCP Abba Kyari who has been indicted by Ramon Abbas a.k.a. Hushpuppi and wanted by the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) for fraud in the United States of America.
According to a press statement made available to AllNews Nigeria by the Force spokesman, Frank Mba said the Police took the decision to “refocus the IRT for better service delivery”.
IGP Usman Baba was charged to bring his professional competence to the new role.
DCP Tunji Disu was formerly Commander of the Rapid Response Squad (RRS) Lagos State.
He was also the Deputy Commissioner of Police, Department of Operations, Force Headquarters, Abuja.
