Nigerians on social media street reacted to the death of Abba Kyari, a former chief of staff to President Muhammadu Buhari.

Allnews reports that Kyari was said to have died from coronavirus complications on Friday, April 17.

He had in March tested positive for the virus, after a trip from Germany on Saturday, March 7th to meet with officials of Siemens in Munich on the Nigerian electricity expansion programme.

Meanwhile, two weeks ago, controversial journalist, Kemi Olunloyo revealed that a high ranking member of President Muhammadu Buhari’s cabinet had died of coronavirus.

Olunloyo had in a tweet said "HIGH RANKING member of President Buhari's Cabinet has DIED ⚰️of #CoronaVirus #Covid9?☠️? complications. I will give the feds the honor of announcing it. U cannot hide it like Yar'Adua. I'm not telling because I value NATIONAL SECURITY OF NIGERIA"

Since the news of Kyari's death broke on the internet,  some Twitter users took to their handles to support Olunloyo's claim, saying that the former chief of staff had died before now, while some alleged that the journalist's claim was incredible.
