Abducted Mother Of Kano Lawmaker Freed After Ransom Payment

The abducted mother of Kano lawmaker, Hajiya Zainab, has regained freedom after payment of ransom.

Hajiya Zainab, the mother of Isiyaku Ali Danja, minority leader, Kano State House of Assembly was abducted from her bedroom in the Gezawa local government area of Kano, on January 12, 2021.

Danja on Tuesday confirmed his mother’s release after payment of 40 Million Naira ransom was paid to her abductors mother regained freedom after the payment of N40m.

Ali Danja, who was a speaker in the House, said they are on their way to pick her up from a local government in Jigawa State where the abductors said they dropped her.

Neither Kano nor Jigawa State Police Command have spoken on the issue as of now.
