The retired Deputy Comptroller General of Customs, Muhammad Zarma who was kidnapped by gunmen in Ilorin, last Thursday has been released on Monday.
According to reports, his car was vandalized with bullets, while two of his boys who were with him during the incident were held by the police authorities for questioning.
The kwara State Police Command confirmed the abduction of the retired customs officer and disclosed that bullets were found at the scene of the incident.
His family members claimed ransom was paid for the victim’s freedom, but the actual amount paid was not disclosed.
