AbdulRasaq Absorbs Kwara Football Academy Into Civil Service

Governor AbdulRasaq Abdulrahman has approved the absorption of the Kwara Football Academy, into the State Civil Service, under Kwara State Sports Commission.

The workers are now to be graded and paid based on civil service salary and wages structures and are now entitled to pension.

It was gathered that uder Bukola Saraki's administration, the staff of Kwara Football Academy were classified as non-civil servants who were being paid salaries of N10,000 and N20,000 each at a flat rate before now.

The workers went on strikes before the coming into office of AbdulRasaq AbdulRahman, over 11-months of unpaid salary arrears by the past administration, which the AbdulRasaq AbdulRahman's administration has cleared off, asides from absorbing the academy into the State Civil Service.

The staff of the academy were in joyous celebration upon receiving the circular from the Kwara State Head of Service, instructing that all the staff be absorbed into the state service, while their salaries are now to be graded based on the cadre and structures obtainable in the Civil Service.
