Abia APGA Guber Candidate Unvailes Running Mate

The Governorship candidate of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) in Abia State, Prof. Gregory Ibe, has announced Obinna Ichita as his running mate.

Ichita is a serving member of Abia State House of Assembly.

Announcing the decision in a statement on Saturday, Ibe stated that he chose Ichita because he is eminently qualified to run with him on the party's ticket.

"In arriving at Hon. Ichita, the party adhered strictly to existing guidelines, protocols, due process and ground rules, which among many criteria provide for specific functions and contributions by different organs of the party at State Working Committee (SWC) and National Working Committee (NWC) levels, in collaboration and consultation with the candidate”, part of the statement reads.

Other considerations for the choice of Ichita are his, "enduring membership of APGA even during turbulent periods, sterling performance as leader of the party in the House of Assembly, equalizing senatorial zone of origin, public acceptability and grassroots support”.
