Abia Social Practitioner Awards Scholarships To Nine Pupils

Ifeanyi Okali, an Umuahia-based blogger has awarded scholarships to nine academically outstanding students of Our Lady of Mercy Nursery and Primary School, Mater Dei Cathedral, Umuahia, Abia State.

The social practitioner who is the Managing Director of Abia Breaking News said the gesture was one of the activities planned for his birthday.

Okali, while speaking to the students of the school during a mini-birthday party, encouraged the awardees to take their studies seriously.

I came to celebrate my birthday with you because I love children.

“I want you all to be serious with your studies because you are the leaders of tomorrow.

“You will surely lead this country, so you must work hard to take up that leadership responsibility in the future.

“I appreciate you for the present you have given to me.

“I consider it precious and a show of love. May God bless you abundantly,” Okali said.

During the event, the Okali distributed exercise books, pencils, and mathematical sets to the pupils.

The pupils also sang for the celebrant and took part in a dance competition.

Reacting to the gesture towards to school, the Head Mistress of the school, Rev. Sister Rosepat Okere, appreciated Okali for the show of love to the children, asking the pupils to pray for him.
