The Vice-Chancellor of the Abia State University Uturu (ABSU), Professor Onyemachi Ogbulu has met with security agencies and the leadership of the Miyetti Allah Breeders Association (MACBAN) to discuss safety measures against kidnapping, banditry, and armed robbery within and outside the schooling environment.
The meeting which was presided by the VIce-Chancellor of ABSU had members of the Nigeria Police, (NP), the Department of State Service (DSS), Abia State Executive Council, and the State Chapter of Miyetti Allah Breeders Association of Nigeria (MACBAN) in attendance.
Ogbulu, during the meeting, urged the attendees to fight security challenges in the country, adding that security in the country is important to everyone.
"Security is a national challenge which must be addressed holistically, to ensure the protection of lives and properties, and traveller’s safety on our roads," Ogbulu said.
The attendees, while speaking, lauded the VC for his remarkable leadership, describing him as a consummate leader.
