Controversial Nigerian journalist and human rights activist, Kemi Olunloyo, has alleged that civilians were aboard the Air Force jet that crashed in Nigeria's capital, Abuja on Sunday.
Via her Twitter handle, Olunloyo questioned the Buhari administration as towhere the plane was coming from before the ill-fated crash.

She also asked the Nigerian Air Force to release the passengers' list for the sake of transparency, adding that sources told her civilians were aboard the plane.
She tweeted; "Abuja Airport: Buhari DON'T LIE to the Nigerian people. This @NigAirForce plane was coming from where? Orlu – Minna abi. To reward more bandits with cash right? Stop Hypocrisy Innocent people killed in Orlu, Bandits paid. Stop abusing our armed forces.
"Sources told me that some civilians were on board that ill-fated plane. Passenger list pls @NigAirForce. We need transparency. All reporters at the scene must #BeFocused2021. We hope this is not Lissa crash repeating itself with cash onboard."

AllNews reported that officials of the Federal Ministry of Aviation said the Boeing 350 jet had reported engine failure at about 10.39 am before the crash.
The accident was also confirmed by the Minister of Aviation, Hadi Sirika. Sirika identified the military aircraft as King Air 350.
The Minister disclosed this in a tweet, saying, “A military aircraft King Air 350 has just crashed short of our Abuja runway after reporting engine failure en-route Minna. It appears to be fatal. We should remain calm and wait for the outcome of investigation by the military, while we pray for the departed soul/souls if any.”
