Abuja: Council Chairman  Assures Contractors Of Payment On Outstanding Debts

Chairman of the Abuja Municipal Area Council, Christopher Zakka has assured contractors indebted to the immediate past administration, that all outstanding monies will be paid. 

Zakka gave the commitment on Tuesday while addressing aggrieved contractors who are yet to be paid for jobs executed for the past administration.  

He however warned that only contractors duly certified to have completed their projects will be considered for the payment of their outstanding. 

According to him, very soon his administration will carry out a proper inspection of all the projects said to have been completed by the contractors, noting that only projects that have reached 100 per cent completion will be given priority for payment. 

Speaking on behalf of the contractors, Engr. Bello Shafiw expressed appreciation to the AMAC Chairman for his promise to offset the debt owed them by the previous administration adding that it has instilled confidence in them to contribute more to the development of the Area Council.
