Abuja-Kaduna Train Attack Victims Pleads With Government

The victims swere seen pleading with the government, as they were backed by teir abductors

Kidnapped victims of the Abuja-Kaduna train have pleaded with the government to urgently secure their freedom.

A video apparently shot by the terrorists shows the victims surrounded by their abductors in a vast expanse of forest area on Sunday.

In the two-minute clip, some of the kidnapped victims identify themselves as a student of Kaduna State University, Independent National Electoral Commission staff, an eye patient heading to Kaduna for treatment and the Bank of Agriculture, Managing Director, Alwan Hassan is seen before his release.

Some of the captives call on the government to come to their rescue.

“We are the train passengers that left Abuja for Kaduna on the 28th of March, 2022.

"On our way, we were attacked and abducted. And between that time and now, only we know the kind of condition we have been in.

"There are mothers and toddlers amongst us. There are old, sickly people.

"Many of us are sick. We are in a very difficult and painful situation.

"And so we are calling on our friends and families, and the government too, to do something urgently,” one of the victims said in the video.

The terrorists in a previous video with the released Managing Director of Bank of Agriculture, Alwan Hassan had said they were releasing the bank MD due to his age and the month of Ramadan.

However, family sources confirmed that a ransom of 100 million naira was paid to secure his release.

The terrorists in the video said they don’t need money but rather the government knows their need.
