Nigerian musician Peter Okoye has taken to Twitter to express his confusion over the reactions of some men to the Achraf Hakimi divorce story.
Okoye’s tweet is directed at the revelation that Hakimi’s assets were under his mother’s name, which has sparked a debate on trust issues in relationships.
The musician questioned why some men are rejoicing over the matter and urged them to be cautious and only marry if they trust their partners.
“I don’t understand why most men are rejoicing over this Hakimi story? Like I don’t get it.
“The truth is bitter but needs to be told. If you don't trust her then don’t marry as simple as that. Or are you expecting your wife to suffer after divorce?”

I don’t understand why most men are rejoicing over this Hakimi story? Like I don’t get it??♂️ The truth is bitter but needs to be told. If you don't trust her then don't marry as simple as that. Or are you expecting your wife to surfer after divorce???♂️
The divorce between Hakimi and Abouk made headlines after it was revealed in court that the footballer had no assets in his name and that his mother’s name was on 80% of everything he owned.
Abouk had requested a divorce and sought to divide all of Hakimi's assets equally, but was shocked to discover that he had placed all of his assets and funds in his mother’s name.
The couple got married in 2020 and have two children together.
