Reports reveal that Nollywood star Chiwetalu Agu who was just released by the Nigerian Army has been rearrested by men of the Department of State Services (DSS).
The actor was first detained a few days ago after he was spotted in IPOB regalia. Viral video clips had shown him being manhandled by the soldiers who apprehended him.
The Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN) has responded to the arrest and 24 hours later, Chiwetalu Agu had reportedly regained his freedom.
Now, trouble seems to have found the Nollywood veteran yet again as a report from PMNewsNigeria discloses that men of the DSS have him in their custody.

According to the news outlet, Agu was rearrested on Friday, October 8, 2021, and it was confirmed by DSS Spokesman, Dr. Peter Afunaya who said: "The army brought him to us. Justice will take its course."
Emeka Rollas, AGN President, said of the latest development, "The AGN is aware that the DSS has picked up Chiwetalu Agu after the Nigerian Army arrested him.
"We are currently working on securing his release."
