Actor John Boyega Reacts After Being Compared With Denzel Washington

Attack the Block star John Boyega has been compared to Hollywood icon Denzel Washington and he has responded by hinting that he is not a part of that conversation.

The Nigerian-British actor attended the premiere of his new movie Breaking on Wednesday night (August 24) in California and said that it is a blessing to be compared with Washington.

“I’m not involved in that conversation, man. If that’s what they see then that’s all a blessing. Denzel is one of the best actors in the industry.

"And I just started out. So for me, I haven’t got the time or the stripes to be able to even involve myself in such a conversation.

"I will definitely thank God for such an opportunity", he stated to Yahoo.

Breaking co-stars the late Michael K. Williams and centres on a Marine war veteran who must deal with mental and emotional issues when he tries to live a civilian life.
