Actor Muyiwa Ademola has slammed the Power Holding Company of Nigeria (PHCN) for repeatedly cutting and reconnecting power.
The actor described returning home from a work set after 18 days and having his sleep disrupted by them.
He complained about how they disrupted his restful slumber by restoring and interrupting the light at 5 to 10-minute intervals.
He demanded that they halt the obnoxious behaviour and explained how the light alarms installed in his neighbourhood had caused noise pollution.
“Cutting off and restoring power back like 50 times within 24 hours! So frustrating! IBEDC/PHCN you can actually do better!
"This recent act by IBEDC/PHCN in my place is so so frustrating! Been on a film set for 18 days, came back yesterday evening and they messed up the very first peaceful sleep I could have gotten!
"Restoring the light and interrupting it at 5 to 10 minutes intervals. It was as if someone was toying with the whole process. They should please stop this annoying act and let us do with the alternative to their epileptic power supply!
"Few houses including mine are installed with light alarms, can you imagine the effect of this avoidable noise pollution intermittently from 9 pm till this moment!
"This has been going on for months, destroying electrical appliances amidst other things. If not for the fact neighbors don’t enjoy one running generator while the IBEDC power supply is on. I would have cared less.
"Enough of this please!”.
